Five Years Today

Five years ago today, Brendan and I said “I do” in front of 150 of our close friends and family. It’s hard to believe it’s been five years! It’s hard to believe it’s been only five years. But these past five years of my life have been the most wonderful so far- in beautiful, fullness of life ways, in hard, stretching ways. But I wouldn’t want to share it with anyone else. My husband has taught me so much about loving Jesus, about seeing the beauty in almost anything, about hopeful optimism, about sacrifice, about hard work, about love, about the healing of the soul, about parenthood, about laughter, and the list goes on. Its funny how after a few years, the faults become clearer- as though they were hazy in the beginning- But as our faults rise to the surface, it seems our love grows (by the mercy of our King), expanding even into those places. And we love better, and we love others better. I love you my husband. There is no one else I’d rather spend my life with. You are the best part of me and I am so thankful for you. Happy Anniversary.

Hi Katie--did you know that Bill and I also live in the Rockies? We're in Boulder, CO. Bill has a new job that will last about another four years, then we'll move back to C'ville.-- We still have our house there.-- Two weeks ago we were in Bozeman, MT. Part of his job is to travel there. Right now I'm at Ben and Anna's, just lovin on those grandbabies! -- Gini is headed back to Africa for a minimun of two years. -- The church we currently attend is quite small, but several families have adopted from Ethiopia. Alan Briggs and his adotable wife are also waiting for their Ethiopian adoption to come through.-- Your daughter is just precious! ~~Sheila
